Welcome to the September edition of The Loopdesk Cut - our monthly look at what we're building, shipping, experimenting with, and learning about video creation. ✍️ Type in Indic Scripts on Any QWERTY Keyboard You can now edit Indic-language captions on a regular QWERTY keyboard. Type words the way they sound, and they appear in the native script as you type. Transliteration works today for captions in 10 Indic scripts. Text overlays get it early next week. 🎛️ Smarter Timeline Controls Each timeline row is now labeled with its type, so it's easier to find your way around. Hover over a row to show or hide it or to lock it. This works together with the magnetic timeline. 💳 Your Credits in the Editor Capsule The editor capsule now shows how many credits you have left, and you can top up without leaving your project. If you'd rather see a clock, you can switch the view from credits to clock. 🔬 Srijika Trends on Hugging Face We released a demo of Srijika, the world's first text-to-Indic-font generator. The research paper was one of the top trending papers on Hugging Face this month. Our mission is to help people who create content in languages other than English. Srijika is one step toward building for creators who have been underserved. 🌍 From 2 Countries to 43 in One Quarter At the start of this quarter we had paying creators in 2 countries. As the quarter ends today, we have them in 43 countries. Thank you for being part of this.
